Cogan's Automotive

Cogan's Automotive is a full service automotive repair shop that can handle all your maintenance and repair needs including:
- engine/transmission diagnostics
- engine/transmission swaps, servicing or repairs
- brake system servicing
- HVAC servicing
- drivetrain servicing and repair
- general tune-up and maintenance

Aside from being a full service automotive repair shop, Cogan's Automotive also specializes in custom engine building and engine testing.  Cogan's Automotive builds everything from the mild to the wild in terms of performance.  Whether you are looking to tune up your classic street car or assault the track with a purpose built "Race Only" combination, Vernon Cogan's 30+ years of experience can provide everything you need to complete your goals.
(pictured left)  Cogan's Automotive utilizes a SuperFlow 1020 flowbench in order to continue raising the bar on engine airflow and performance.  (pictured below)  A SuperFlow 902 Dyno is then used to verify and validate engine performance.  This dyno can handle up to 2000 ft/lbs.  Be rest assued that all engines from Cogan's Automotive get broken in and optimally tuned for their specific application.  This way, the customer can simply install it in their car and go racing knowing that the engine is right.
(pictured upper left)  Father and son, Vernon and Chris Cogan teamed up in 2003 to complete in the Engine Master's Challenge.  Shown here at Vince Impastato's shop during the regional competition.  (pictured upper right)  The EMC engine found a home in Chris's Camaro after the competition.  Shown here at Milan Dragway having a little fun burning up his Mickey T's.  This 700 HP pump gas, flat tappet engine was truely built for the street/strip scene, not like many of the "qualifier" engines that showed up at the competition. (pictured right)  This is one of Vernon's creations.  A 700 cubic inch Top Sportsman engine, making 1350 HP on the motor.
